1-Minute over S.F. Bay w/the Patriots

We mounted an HD camera on the tail of #4 jet of the Patriots Jet Team for our new HD web series. Enjoy a 60 second glimpse over the S.F. Bay in a Black Diamond loop and roll.

There is a lot more of this footage we’ll start incorporating in the series this spring.

TopFlight.TV has taken a different approach to producing great content to share with the aviation audience. Incredible aircraft, great people, amazing access, and awesome footage to share the passion for aviation with the world!

“Broader-Caster” is a term from an NAB video contest (National Association of Broadcasters) inviting producers to submit a one-minute piece about what we are doing in the production world where the Web, Broadband, is the primary medium wherein which we share our message, Casting. The winner gets airfare, hotel, and full event access to the 2010 NAB convention in Las Vegas. A good excuse for us to develop a short piece sharing what TopFlight.TV is all about.

2010 TopFlight.TV Makeover

We’ve made a commitment to not let all the great footage we captured in 2009 sit in our archives – you can’t enjoy our awesome aviation video that way.

We’re also working on many exciting projects for the new year that we will post updates in blog format here to keep you up to date with all we’re doing to bring you new great content.

Patriots Jet Team featurette

Everybody knows who the US Navy Blue Angels are, as well as the US Air Force Thunderbirds, but very few know anything about the only civilian aerobatic jet demonstration team in the United States – the Patriots Jet Team.

This is the launch featurette about who they are, what they do, and what they’re all about. The series currently under development will follow their adventure from a four-ship black diamond, to a six-ship black delta formation.

The Reno Air Races is the World’s Fastest Motorsport – neither Red Bull Air Races nor NASCAR can hold a candle to the sheer power and speed!

The Reno Air Races are nearly a half-century old, yet most aviation enthusiasts have no clue what it’s really all about… including us until a few years ago. The Reno Air Races are unlike anything on the entire planet! From small biplanes and Formula Ones, to Sport class, T-6, Jets and the might Unlimited Air Racers… Reno is an event… in a world-class… all its own!

Watching everything we could get our eyes on, nothing truly conveyed the awesome spectacle of the Reno Air Races. So we worked on a little segment to show the world TopFlight.TV style… edgy, heart-pounding, and a little bit in your face. Our Reno piece takes you there virtually, and makes you want to experience it in person!

Patriots Jet Team air-to-air Beale to Byron Part-2

Here are more actual screen shots from our HD footage on our air-to-air shoot with the Patriots Jet Team from the back seat of an Alpha Jet flown by Mark Peterson while the team returned home to the Byron Airport after the USAF 2009 Beale Airshow.

Patriots Jet Team air-to-air Beale to Byron Part-1

After the USAF Beale Airshow, TopFlight.TV climbed in the cockpit of an Alpha Jet flown by Mark Peterson to capture air-to-air footage of the Patriots black diamond. The flight was the returned to home base at the Byron Airport in the delta region of northern California.

All images are actual screen shots from the HD footage shot by Brian Roat (BR-HD), except for the chin-cam shots which we in SD.
